Zhaly.kom - The Herminator

Last year I did my first non-Czechs alpine ski experience in Slovenia. We stayed straight on the slope and enjoyed awesome three days on Krvavec. But it was still post-eastern bloc skiing and my wish to ski in a real imperialistic alpine resort hadn't been satisfied.
I had to wait one more year, but last week I finally found out how the Alps are magnificent. From Wednesday to Sunday I spent awesome time with Míša and so many other O-friends mainly from Jicin like Svihak, Mr.Park(inson), Lebka, Rom, Kazdic, etc. in the Zillertal. Four days of wonderful skiing in four different resorts, all this stuff in 10 minutes from accommodation excepting the Hintertux glacier which was 30 minutes far away. But right the Saturday's trip to Tux was the best one. In the morning it looked like not very optimistic with a weather. Clouds on the peaks of Zillertaler Alpen predicted awful conditions on the glacier. Despite it we wanted to try skiing in altitude over 3000 metres above sea level. And finally it was a lucky decision. First ride from the end of Hintertux bus no.3 (3250m.) was horrible. Huge fog made possible to see only 5 metres forwardly and it wasn't surprise that we lost for short time Drepkins aka Parkinson aka Ropak. But when we went under the clouds level, we saw what we was waiting for. The sky was starting to rend. Because of morning's bed weather the glacier was empty although the sun was shining. I have never enjoyed something like this including a lunch break with Zillertal beer.

NEW Some photos from Hochzillertal are added on Zhalbum. Access also possible here.
